About Lisa

Hi, I’m Lisa, and welcome to Home Cinema Living!

If you love the idea of creating a cozy, stylish, and unforgettable home theater experience, you’re in the right place.

My passion for home theaters began years ago as a shared interest with my husband, who has spent much of his career working in the home theater industry. Over the years, we’ve spent countless hours researching equipment, experimenting with room layouts, comparing seating options, and finding ways to create spaces that feel both comfortable and immersive.

What started as a hobby eventually became a true passion. Our home theater has become one of our favorite places to relax, enjoy family movie nights, watch big sporting events, and spend time together. Some of our best memories have been made right there, gathered around the screen with family, friends, plenty of snacks, and of course, popcorn.

Through those experiences, I’ve learned that creating a great home theater isn’t just about buying the most expensive equipment. It’s about creating an atmosphere people genuinely enjoy spending time in. Comfortable seating, thoughtful lighting, cozy décor, and personal touches often make a bigger difference than many people realize.

That’s what inspired me to create Home Cinema Living.

Here, I share decorating ideas, lighting inspiration, seating tips, product recommendations, and practical advice to help homeowners create entertainment spaces that feel welcoming, functional, and uniquely their own. Whether you’re building a dedicated theater room, upgrading a family media room, or simply looking for ways to make movie nights more enjoyable, my goal is to help you create a space you’ll love for years to come.

When I’m not writing about home theaters, I’m spending time with my family. I’m a proud grandparent to two wonderful grandchildren, and our dog is always nearby whenever movie night rolls around, especially if popcorn is involved!

Thank you for visiting Home Cinema Living. I hope you’ll find plenty of ideas and inspiration to help you create a home theater that brings people together and makes every movie night feel a little more special.

Grab some popcorn, get comfortable, and let’s create a home theater you’ll love.
